Overview

The BEST INCLASS 8(a) STARS III GWAC is a multi-award indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract designed to provide federal agencies with innovative information technology services-based solutions from award-winning 8(a) small business partners like Frederick Information Technology Services (FITS). This next-generation GWAC is built on a framework to buy total IT solutions and will expand capabilities for emerging technologies and OCONUS requirements.  FITS holds the prime contract providing services under Information Technology Services (C.1) and Emerging Technology-Focused IT Services (C.2.1, Sub-Area 1).

Features

  • $50 Billion program ceiling. Contract Ordering Period: 07/02/2021 thru 07/01/2026 and five-year base period with one three (3)-year option.
  • Task Order Performance can go 5 years beyond contract ordering end date.
  • Allows for directed award task orders under the 8(a) competitive threshold.
  • While some sole source orders are flagged as “high risk,” this is not the case with 8(a) directed orders.
  • Contract types include Fixed-Price, Time-and-materials, Labor Hour, and Incentives.
  • Permits other direct costs to include ancillary services and/or equipment that the Government determines to be integral and necessary to the IT services-based solution.
