  • Installation, configuration, and upgrade experience on single processor, symmetrical multi-processing (SMP), massively parallel processor (MPP), cellular multiprocessing (CMP), non-uniform memory access (NUMA), and Virtual blade server systems with enterprise storage area networks (SAN)
  • Instance and database creation and configuration in non-partitioned (EE) and partitioned (EEE/ESE) database server including multiple logical (MLP) and multiple physical partition (MPP) configurations
  • Client-server communications experience using TCP/IP, NetBIOS, SNA (APPC), IPX/SPX, including clustering over system area networks with TCP/IP and Virtual Interface Architecture (VIA) protocols
  • Database utility experience including reorg, run stats, rebind, export, import, load, autoload, backup, restore and roll forward utilities
  • Database recovery experience with backup, restore, roll-forward, and log archival, and the DB2 advanced database recovery tool (db2dart)
  • High availability (HA) experience with split mirror images as well as implementing Microsoft Clustering Services (MSCS) for fail over recovery in both external SCSI and enterprise storage area networks SAN subsystems
